Principal Engineer – Rail & Infrastructure
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000
Location: Hybrid – Offices in London & Kent

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead & Inspire: Act as a Technical Lead and CRE(D) on major rail and infrastructure projects.
- Mentor & Grow: Support and guide junior engineers, helping to shape their careers while growing your leadership skills.
- Deliver Excellence: Own the design and delivery of key project outputs including calculations, models, and technical reports.
- Manage Projects: Oversee scope, resources, budgets, and timelines — be the driving force from concept to completion.
- Engage Clients: Build and maintain strong relationships, contribute to meetings, and represent the business confidently.
- Support Growth : Be part of tendering, proposals, and business development conversations.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years’ experience in Civil or Structural Engineering (Rail/infrastructure focus preferred)
- Chartered or Incorporated with ICE or IStructE
- Hands-on experience with rail standards (NR, Eurocodes, BS)
- CRE(D) experience a strong advantage
- Proficiency with tools like Tekla Tedds, Robot, MIDAS, etc.
- Confident communicator and team leader
- Good understanding of CDM and H&S regulations
