Are you a detail-driven Business Analyst with experience in higher education systems and transformation projects? A leading UK university is undergoing a major digital transformation and is looking for an enthusiastic Business Analyst to join their remote team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a modern Student Information System (SIS), working within a supportive project environment and engaging with a range of academic and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support gap analysis and process redesign through stakeholder meetings and workshops
  • Document current (‘as-is’) and future (‘to-be’) business processes
  • Capture project benefits and support creation of training and communication materials
  • Collaborate with Business Architects to propose suitable design solutions
  • Produce clear, detailed Functional Design Specifications and business process models
  • Support User Acceptance Testing and change request tracking
  • Provide progress updates to the Project Manager and contribute to planning activities
  • Build a strong understanding of the business and promote user engagement
  • Assist with internal training, documentation, and user support

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in business analysis for complex systems, ideally in HE or public sector
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or experience in a university transformation project
  • Proven ability to produce business models, FDS documents, and UAT scripts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong business process mapping and documentation abilities

Desirable:

  • ISEB Business Analyst Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in Admissions, Assessments, or Registry teams
  • Exposure to project management and training delivery
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or TQM approaches
