We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Outreach Tutors to join our team in Sutton and the surrounding boroughs. If you are an experienced tutor with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), we want to hear from you! We offer a competitive rate of 30-35ph!Key SEN Outreach Tutor Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group tuition for students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia
- Assess, plan and implement bespoke lessons to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of each student
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure student progress
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and school staff
- Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and achievements
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference in student’s lives
- A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working within a school or tutoring environment – desirable
- Specific training or qualifications related to SEN, such as TEACCH, Makaton, or Autism Awareness – desirable
